Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most from brokerages and partners.
Membership is open to independently owned real estate brokerages located in Upstate South Carolina that maintain local ownership and leadership, have 50 or fewer affiliated agents, value collaboration, and support ethical business practices.
An independent brokerage operates independently and is not part of a national franchise system. It is locally owned and led, with the freedom to set its own direction and serve its community directly.
No. Membership is reserved for independently owned brokerages that are not part of a national franchise system. This focus is what allows the collective to serve the unique needs of independent brokerages.
Annual dues are $500 per brokerage. The membership year runs from July 1 through June 30. Dues may be prorated semi-annually: $500 for July 1 through December 31, or $250 for January 1 through June 30.
Membership includes monthly meetings, educational programs, networking events, and special events throughout the year. Most gatherings are included with your membership; from time to time, a select event or program may carry a small additional fee to help cover costs such as meals, venue, or a special speaker. When that’s the case, the amount is always shared clearly in advance so you can decide what’s right for your team. Brokerages joining in the inaugural year also receive founding member recognition.
Yes. We welcome brokerage leaders and their team members at many of our events. Some programs may be designated members-only, and certain events may welcome guests — details are shared with each event.
Annual partnership is available at the Silver ($500), Gold ($1,000), or Diamond ($2,500) level and runs January 1 through December 31, with prorated benefits for partners who join mid-year. Each level offers increasing year-round visibility and engagement, from listing on the Partners page to homepage placement and speaking opportunities. Annual partnership is separate from event sponsorship, which supports individual IBC programs and gatherings.
