Quick Guide
➕ Add a board member (can edit the site)
- Netlify → Identity → Invite users → enter their email.
- They accept the email invite & set a password (see next section).
- Netlify → Identity → click their name → add the role editor.
🔑 How a board member logs in & sets a password
- First time: they get an email invite (from the step above) → click “Accept the invite.”
- A box opens on the website → they choose a password → that’s it, they’re in.
- Every time after: on the website, type ibc (or click Board Login in the footer) → Log In → email + password.
- Forgot password? Click “Forgot password?” on the login box → a reset link is emailed.
👤 Add a regular member (resources only)
- Nothing to do — they sign up themselves on the Resources page with their brokerage email.
- Only approved brokerage domains are allowed; everyone else is rejected automatically.
🗑️ Remove someone (they left or changed brokerages)
- Login: Netlify → Identity → Users → find them → Delete user.
- Email list: MailerLite → Members Only group → find them → remove from group (or unsubscribe). This step is manual — Netlify can’t remove them from MailerLite automatically.
- To stop them editing but keep their login: just remove the editor role (skip the steps above).
- If they moved to another approved brokerage: they re-sign-up with their new email — then remove the old email using the two steps above.
🏢 Add or remove a brokerage’s domain
- Send the email domain (e.g. newbrokerage.com) to your web helper to add to the approved list.
- Once added & published, agents at that brokerage can sign up.

- This portal → Event Sign-Ups & Messages, or
- Netlify → Forms → event-registration → Download CSV.
✏️ Edit website content
- This portal → Edit the Website → make changes → Publish.
- Changes go live in about a minute.

💳 What’s free vs. paid
- Free: the website, board & member logins (up to 1,000 people), the domain check, and up to 100 form sign-ups per month.
- Only costs money if: you pass 1,000 active members in a month, or 100+ form submissions in a month.
- Adding extra people to the Netlify dashboard isn’t free — but board members don’t need it; they use this portal.
- Your only real cost is the domain (~$15/year).
Two logins to know: this portal/editor = your email + password. Netlify dashboard (forms, users, settings) = your Netlify account.
Log in with the email & password from your account. Forgot it? Use “Forgot password” on the login screen.
